Offices, meeting rooms, reception and waiting areas, doctors’ offices, classrooms, pharmacies, restaurants, retail spaces, and more – the coronavirus pandemic is posing huge challenges for company managers.
ELSÄSSER Filtertechnik has responded accordingly by adding highly effective air cleaners that can remove viruses and bacteria to our product range.
For any poorly ventilated or non-ventilated spaces inside a building, an air purifier is the ideal way to improve the air quality. Naturally, an antiviral air purifier is a useful addition to the existing, room air-conditioning systems or even the standard ventilation systems. By increasing the rate of air exchange, they help to remove viruses, fine dust, bacteria, pollen, and other airborne pollutants.
Why are air purifiers important?
Harmful gases, dust, and aerosol-borne pathogens are detrimental to human health. In many cases, inadequate air exchange results in an increased transmission of pathogens.
Design and function
At the heart of every air purifier is the filter. All the devices in our range are combination systems with two independent filters – a pre-filter and a main filter. On the air inlet side, the contaminated air is drawn in, filtered through the filter stages, and blown out as clean air. A control unit can be used to regulate the speed or flow rate based on the room size. Devices with a control element (touchscreen) offer advanced setting options via the control menu, such as automatic operation, additional convenience features, and an operating hours counter.
The amazing advantages of our air purifiers
Highly efficient removal of viruses, bacteria, and microorganisms by means of certified HEPA class H14 filter media (>99.995%).
Models with a switchable UV-C light are available
Economical and quiet operation despite high flow rates thanks to modern technologies with attractive designs.
Plugging in and switching on our devices is a breeze and they can be used flexibly almost anywhere.
Their efficient fans/blowers are designed for continuous operation and ensure that extra power is available as required.
Units with different power levels are available for room sizes from 40 to 200 m² at a rate of 5 air changes per hour.
Low maintenance, long filter runtimes, and easy filter replacement – the pre-filter and main filter can be changed separately. Change the filters by yourself – no need for a trained specialist.
Filtration performance confirmed in independent studies by renowned institutes.
Applicable filter classes
HEPA* (High Efficiency Air Filter) filters are used in the final filter stage. These HEPA filters remove more than 99% of the smallest particles such as bacteria and aerosols, dust, smoke, and pollen. The recommended filter classes are H10 to H14. These extremely fine media reliably trap suspended solids (< 0.1 µm).
To meet the requirements for antiviral air purifiers, it is essential to use highly effective filter media. At filter class H13 and above, almost perfect filtration performance is ensured (99.95 %). A class H14 filter will remove 99.995% of viruses, bacteria, and microorganisms.
* in accordance with ISO 29463 and EN1822
To protect these high-quality HEPA filters from unnecessary wear caused by coarse particles, pre-filters with a high dust-removal capacity are typically used. For example, class F7 or ePM1 65% filters may be used for this purpose.
This combination creates optimal operating conditions and extends the service life of the HEPA filters.
