FIL FILTER was founded in 1966 in Iskenderun/Turkey and currently employs more than 1,000 people – its workforce is steadily growing. FIL FILTER has a very high vertical range of manufacture, e.g., its even manufactures it own packaging and folded boxes in-house – the company thus benefits from a high degree of flexibility at low cost.
Filtration solutions from FIL FILTER
FIL FILTER produces filters exclusively for the automotive industry as well as the agricultural machinery, construction machinery, and general engineering sectors. It predominantly produces oil filters, air filters, fuel filters, and cabin air filters – also called interior filters – for these industries. FIL FILTER supplies customers within Turkey and Europe, but also exports its products to Asia, USA, Africa, Australia, and South America.
The company has evolved from a local manufacturer to a market leader and is now a globally positioned company. FIL FILTER exports directly to numerous countries, such as Brazil, India, and the USA. After production, its products are loaded into full-size 40-foot containers for export. FIL FILTER’s European customers are supplied and supported via its German subsidiary in Nufringen (near Stuttgart).

A large proportion of these filters are supplied directly to the OEMs, i.e., the vehicle manufacturers, both as original equipment and as replacement parts. To ensure the required quality standards, the company holds ISO TS 16949 certification and also uses its own laboratory for in-house testing of all critical properties, such as filter fineness, flow resistance, separation rates, temperature tests, burst pressures, pulsation strength, and vibration tests. Furthermore, in terms of technology and product development, it naturally works hard to meet the automotive industry’s requirements and standards and to fulfill its customers’ requests.

Oil filters from FIL FILTER
FIL FILTER manufactures both oil filter elements and spin-on filter elements. Its filter media are manufactured by – and sourced from – the best media manufacturers worldwide in accordance with our standards and requirements. The corresponding subassemblies, such as springs, valves, sheet metal bodies, sheet metal covers, and end caps are all manufactured by FIL FILTER in-house – only the filter media and gaskets are purchased from selected third-party suppliers.Air filters from FIL FILTER
FIL FILTER manufactures complete air filters including housings as well as air filter elements. Its complete air filters are manufactured for the agricultural and construction machinery industry and consist of a filter element, housing, body, discharge valve, and bracket. The housings are typically made of reinforced PP or PA. Round filter elements are mainly produced for use in agricultural and construction machinery. These products are subdivided into filter elements with axial or radial sealing.
- - Axially sealed elements are often bolted via a center rod and thus pressed against the gasket.
- - Radial sealing elements are fitted onto the component and create a seal over a specific radius – axial compression also occurs, but it is not connected to the gasket.
Plate filters, also called flat filters, are typically manufactured for automotive applications. Flat filters consist of only the filter medium and a surrounding polyurethane seal.

Fuel filters from FIL FILTER
FIL FILTER manufactures both fuel filter elements and spin-on filters. In recent years, the requirements for fuel filters have increased steadily. Back when the fuel was delivered by means of a distributor pump, the requirements for fuel filters were similar to those for oil filters.
Nowadays, the fuel is injected under high pressure and the filters have become considerably finer – modern diesel filters have a fineness of less than 3 µm and must nevertheless still be capable of removing >95% of the water in the fuel.
