The service indicator on a hydraulic filter measures the build-up of dirt and shows you when it is time to change the filter element. This is a big help in terms of maintaining the required filtration efficiency and avoiding a build-up of differential pressure.
There are different types of service indicators:
Dynamic pressure indicators
Differential pressure indicators
Vacuum indicators
- Dynamic pressure indicators
Dynamic pressure indicators take the form of pressure gauges or electrical (or visual/electrical) indicators. Pressure gauges show the degree of contamination on a pre-defined scale and allow a horizontal or vertical connection to be selected. The green area on the pressure gauge indicates that the element is not yet filled with dirt. If the red area is displayed, the element must be replaced.
Electrical indicators trigger an electrical signal when the pre-set contamination level is reached. In addition, a simple plug with an LED (green/red) can be used to turn an electrical indicator into a visual/electrical indicator.
- Differential pressure indicators
Differential pressure indicators are available as visual, electrical or visual/electrical versions. They accurately measure the differential pressure before and after the element. In the visual variant, the degree of contamination is indicated by means of a green/red ring.
Electrical indicators trigger an electrical signal when the pre-set contamination level is reached. In addition, a simple plug with an LED (green/red) can be used to turn an electrical indicator into a visual/electrical indicator.
- Vacuum indicators
Vacuum indicators are available as vacuum gauges as well as electrical or visual/electrical variants. A vacuum gauge shows the degree of contamination on a pre-defined scale. The green area on a vacuum gauge indicates that the element is not yet filled with dirt. If the red area is displayed, the element must be replaced.
Electrical indicators trigger an electrical signal when the pre-set contamination level is reached. In addition, a simple plug with an LED (green/red) can be used to turn an electrical indicator into a visual/electrical indicator.
Oil level indicator / oil sight glass
High-quality, robust oil sight glasses are the optimal solution for level control in oil tanks.
Thanks to metric mounting bolts and a range of different lengths, they can be easily attached to almost any hydraulic tank. In addition, you can choose between indicators with or without a thermometer. The temperature is displayed in degrees Celsius and Fahrenheit.
