Precleaners 

To filter the intake air needed for the combustion process, additional pre-filters can be installed in very dusty environments. For mobile machines, these options include precleaners and cyclone filters/centrifugal separators. These devices reduce the load on the downstream air filters by removing dust and water from the intake air by means of centrifugal forces. Besides significantly extending the service life of the air filter, they also help to reduce contamination of the air-carrying components. 

Rain caps 

Rain caps are used to cover (air) intake pipes that are mounted vertically upwards outside enclosures – to prevent the ingress of rain or spray water as far as possible. In our store you will find rain caps in a range of connection sizes and cap geometries. 

Air filter brackets 

These accessories for air filters (air filter housings) allow the housing to be positively connected to a flat surface by means of a tensioning strap. Depending on the available installation space, they can either be mounted inside the machine (usually in the engine compartment) or on its exterior. On the base of the bracket there are two (or more) holes of different shapes for bolting to the machine. 

Air-carrying parts 

In engine technology, air-carrying parts are usually round components such as tubes or hoses. They are used to interconnect the intake manifold (with or without rain cap), the pre-separator, the air filter, and the turbocharger or combustion engine. 

Maintenance switches/indicators 

These devices are differential pressure sensors with either a visual display or an electrical output. Maintenance switches/indicators measure the differential pressure at the filter element and inform the operator when it is time to change the element or perform routine maintenance.
